Teaching listening
Teaching listening
Listening is one of the skills in Spanish that we develop in our natural
mother language, so when we try to learn other language new it’s very
difficult. my students and I has more
problems in Listening skill than other skills.
My students and I have to develop our ear and practice the listening
skills in order to understand the main idea of the text.. In my cases as a
teacher it’s one of the listening skills that some of the time I didn’t use,
because the classroom doesn’t have the tool necessary. (I don’t have English´s
Classroom).
I know that I have to help my students develop all of the set of
listening strategies and match appropriate listening skills in each situation.
Listening was always the most difficult for me to learn, too!
ReplyDeleteHere's a little secret: No English teacher "has" an English classroom. English Ts create English environments. English Ts develop way to motivate Ss to use the TL. But no T automatically "has" an English classroom. So, the question is this: What can you do to help Ss given the tools that you DO have? How could they be motivated? How could you create an environment with a larger number of listening opportunities?
